John R. Cade, P.E.

Mr. Cade graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, New York, receiving a degree (BCE) in Civil Engineering.

Mr. Cade has over 35 years of professional experience, including 11 years in the public sector. Early in his career, he served as Engineer Company Commander with the US Army during the Korean War. Later, he was employed as Assistant Chief, Bureau of Engineering and Planning, New Jersey Division of Motor Vehicles, specializing in traffic signal systems and intersection geometrics. He acted as an advisor to county and municipal officials throughout the State on numerous community traffic planning projects.

Mr. Cade served as project manager for five area wide traffic operations studies in New Jersey, New York and Virginia. His involvement has been extensive in the problems of large-scale traffic generators, including industrial plants, multi-family housing developments, office buildings, stadiums and shopping centers. As a consultant to other professionals and developers, Mr. Cade was involved in the planning and design of major downtown projects in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Toronto and Montreal.

As a specialist in traffic safety engineering, Mr. Cade represented the Town of Huntington, New York, in court cases where expert testimony was required for depositions and trials. Within the scope of his expertise, he has been retained by an insurance company as a traffic safety specialist. Currently, Mr. Cade conducts traffic and transportation analyses for environmental impacts and assessments.

Mr. Cade is a Fellow of the Institute of Transportation Engineers, and was the past Chairman of the Technical Committee, District One, Institute of Transportation Engineers. He is also a member of Tau Beta Pi, Engineering Honorary Society, and Chi Epsilon, Civil Engineering Honorary Society.

Mr. Cade served as Engineer Company Commander with the United States Army during the Korean War.

He is a Professional Engineer.
