Irving Paris
Mr. Paris received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1956. He began private practice in 1960, continuing to the present. During the 1960's he worked as a partner with The Brothers Paris, an architectural firm, and from 1969 to 1987 he was sole proprietor of Irving Paris, Architect. He then served as Director of The Clover Architectural Group, P.C., until 1992, when he reformed Irving Paris, Architect, as sole proprietor.
Mr. Paris has experience as Architect of Record for office buildings, industrial buildings, warehouses, banks, restaurants, theaters, multiple housing units, religious buildings, mercantile buildings and motels, primarily in the upstate New York area. He was also Project Architect on shopping center facilities in California, Kansas and Virginia while a director of Clover Group, Architects.
He has had teaching experience at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Hudson Valley Community College, in Troy, New York. He was formerly a member of the American Institute of Architects from 1955 to 1978 and is a member of the Society of Registered Architects, and New York State Building Officials. In 1976 he served as a representative of the American Institute of Architects on Governor Nelson A. Rockefeller's Ad Hoc Committee on Energy Conservation. He has also lectured as a member of the American Institute of Architects at local high school career guidance seminars.
